Clyde Oklie Cable
Services: Fri., Jan. 14, 10 a.m.

Chapel services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at 
Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 4-8 p.m. 
at Hillcrest Mortuary. 

Clyde was born June 5, 1907, in the Great Smokey Mountains, just outside of a 
small town known as Almond, NC, and passed away January 9, 2005, at the age of 
97, in Bakersfield, California.

Clyde married Lee Ann Evens in 1935 and moved from North Carolina to Coalinga, 
CA where he went to work for Associated Oil Co. He was transferred to 
Bakersfield and continued to work for Associated Oil until 1952, when he then 
left and joined his wife in the upholstery business known as Cables Upholstery 
Shop.

Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, LeeAnn Cable and his son, Ronnie 
Cable. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Gary Guinn of 
Bakersfield; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Carolyn Cable of Bakersfield; 
stepson and wife, Billy and Leona Glen of Modesto, CA, along with 10 
grandchildren and more great-grandchildren than he could keep track of. 

Clyde loved the mountains and would go hunting and fishing as often as he 
could. He loved stream fishing, and could always catch fish when no one else 
was having any luck at it.

We would like thank the staff at Beverly Manor for the care they showed Dad. 
Beverly Manor was his home, he felt safe there and loved the affection and 
care that they showed him.

Dad, you will be missed by all of us. Love You.
