Dolores Gonzalez

Dolores Gonzalez of Bakersfield, California, passed away January 10, 2005. She 
was born in Los Ramones, Mexico on March 19, 1922 to Librado and Damiasa 
Barrenitos. Dolores was married to Felix Gonzalez on June 28, 1944 in Los 
Ramones, Mexico, she then came to Texas at the age of 22 years. Dolores was a 
very strong willed woman, who was very tough to the end. She loved to tell 
stories and jokes, was a hard worker and enjoyed gardening, cooked everything 
from scratch and was a very old-fashioned woman. 

She is survived by her sons, Felix Ramon Gonzalez and Gerardo Gonzalez; 
daughters, Elva Ybarra and husband, Lorenzo, Irma Montalvo, Hilda Becerra, 
Graciela Brush and husband, Jerry, Leticia Garcia and two stepdaughters, Lupe 
and Reyes; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-
grandchildren; sisters, Olivia and Maria; brother, Ramio. She is preceded in 
death by her parents and husband, Felix Gonzalez, who passed away in 1983.

Visitation will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary Chapel in Lamont, 
Thursday, January 13, 2005, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy 
Rosary will be Thursday, January 13, 2005, 6:00 p.m., at Hopson-Anspach Family 
Mortuary Chapel in Lamont. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 
January 14, 2005, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lamont. Father John 
Schmoll will officiate services and interment will follow at South Kern 
Cemetery District in Arvin.
