Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2005, at Arvin Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., in Arvin. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, January 13, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Arvin Funeral Home. Ora Bell was born in Magness, Arkansas to William and Leona McDoniel. She is the eldest of ten children. Our mother did a great job of raising all eleven of us. She cared for us during the good and hard times and there were many times when things were hard, but she was always there. Mom was a member of the Church of Christ and attended church for many years. Mom was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Brown Ragle, her daughter, Joan Marie and son, Billy Mac. Mom is survived by her sisters, Juanita and husband, Elmer, Marge and husband, Morn, Eloise, Josephine and Lorraine; daughters, Betty and husband, Billie Headding, Annis and husband, Gus Stratton; sons, James, Connor and wife, Alethia, Donald and wife, Karen, Danny and wife, Becky, Leonard and wife, Deanna, Ricky and wife, Debbie, Greg and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Ragle. Mom loved to travel to visit relatives and friends or go places that she had never been before. Mom had a sharp mind and could recall many things down to the smallest detail. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Even within hours of passing she laughed at something that I said to her. Mom was a Christian Lady, who was a kind, caring, generous person with a very big heart. There are too many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren to mention all of their names, but Mom knew them all and loved everyone. Mom will be dearly missed by all those who knew her, but will always be in our hearts. Arvin Funeral Home Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
