Pastor Steven Brentham will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Rick was born January 22, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio and resided in Kern County for 25 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran serving in WWII, where he was wounded at Pearl Harbor on Pearl Harbor Day. Rick homesteaded in Alaska in 1958 until his health problems caused him to move to the lower 48. He was employed through the IBEW, Local #1547 and an electrician for 50 years. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and BPO. Rick is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, James Hubner of Wasilla, Alaska, Wendy Laux of Big Lake, Alaska, Scott Hubner of Wasilla, Alaska, Heidi Cosmey and husband, John of Polk City, Florida, Cort Hubner of Wasilla, Alaska, Lance Hubner of Seattle, Washington and Richard Hubner of Chico, CA; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Laurel Reed of Cleveland, Ohio.
