Violet Martin
Services: Tues., Jan 18, 1:30 P.M.

Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., 
Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. for Violet Marie Martin, 76, who passed 
away January 13, 2005 in Bakersfield. Rev. Chip Jones will officiate and 
interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. 

Violet was born November 8, 1928 in Colson, Kentucky and resided in Kern 
County for 38 years. She was a Hospital Housekeeper for 25 years. Violet was a 
member of Living Waters Pentecostal Church. Her whole life revolved around her 
family and her church family. Mom had a great love for the Lord and our joy is 
that she is with him today. She was greatly loved and she will be greatly 
missed. Violets favorite place to eat was Southwest Lanes Coffee Shop. The 
girls who worked there were her favorites.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Martin; and daughter, Denise 
Martin. Violet is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna Martin of 
Bakersfield, Howard Martin Jr. & Doris of Taft, Steve and Mary Martin and 
Susan & Loyal Anderson, all of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Stephen Martin & 
wife, Angie of Bakersfield, Teresa Martin of Missouri and Alixzandr & Kyle 
both of Bakersfield; and nieces, nephews & their spouses, Bob & Thelma Rossi, 
Chester & Charlotte Collins and Lovell & Geneva Profitt, all of Ohio.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 17 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.m.
