Joe Mut Puryear
Services: Tues. January 18, 1 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd, 
for Joe Mut Puryear, 81, who passed away January 14, 2005. Rev. Ken Noel will 
officiate. 

Mr. Puryear was born February 18, 1923, in Fellows, CA. He worked as a 
custodian for the Bakersfield City Schools for 20 years. He attended Evangel 
Assembly of God church.

Mr. Puryear is survived by his wife, Marilue A. Puryear of Bakersfield; 
daughters, Karen D. Hellen of Battle Mountain, NV, Diana K. Puryear of 
Sunnyvale, CA, and Brenda G. Bryant of Sparks, NV; son, Gary W. Puryear of 
Bakersfield; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Drella Epley of 
Northern California and his dog, Chili Pepper.

Visitation begins Monday from 2 9 p.m.
