Chuck was a man that was truly proud to be an American. When he became a U.S. Citizen he said it was the proudest moment of his life. He was a professional soccer player for the U.S. Army and played in Germany, Canada, and Mexico. He graduated from San Jose High School and was an Honor Roll Student at Santa Rosa College. Chuck moved to Bakersfield in 1975 where he later met and married the love of his life, Gloria. Chuck and Gloria were inseparable. They loved each other with their whole hearts and souls. Together they lived life to the fullestnever taking a moment together for granted. Their love was strong and true. Chuck and Gloria loved rainbows. Whenever they would see one in the sky, Chuck would pull his car over, get out, and admire its beauty. The day Chuck left us was January 13, 2005 at the UCLA Medical Center. It was a nice clear day. There had been no rain for days, but when we left his room to walk outside, there in the sky was a full beautiful rainbow with the sun shining bright, right in the middle. There was no doubt that even in his death, he was trying to comfort Gloria, the love of his life his soul mate. He touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will live forever in our hearts. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; mother, Vicki Bush; sons, Casey Ondrovics, Tim Hough and wife, Shannon, and Bryan Hough; daughter, Rennina Watererman; 10 grandchildren, Samantha, Ross, Ethan, Garet, Keith, Tyler, Madison, Andrew, Gilberto, and Quirina; along with many friends and family that will miss him dearly.
