OHarra Services: Friday, July 2, 2:30 p.m. Leslyn passed quietly at her home surrounded by family and Father Ricardo Magdaleno, a close friend, she was 75. Mother raised three sons and three daughters. She learned to golf so-so, and learned to fish pretty well much to the consternation of her husband, Rod. She spent countless hours volunteering at Mercy Hospital and working with the Assistance League. It seems like any free time was spent on the phone with friends helping them work through some catastrophe. Leslyn was born in Ventura, CA, on January 19, 1929. The family moved to Bakersfield in 1936, where she attended local schools and graduated from Kern County Union School. Leslyn was preceded in death by her aunt, Diane May, her parents, Donald J. and Florence Bradbury, her husband, Roderick E. OHarra, son, Kevin S. OHarra and a great-granddaughter, Kayla Van Rensselaer. She is survived by daughters, Sharon McPherson and husband, Donald; Pat Garrett and husband, Dennis; Michael Weppler and husband, Les; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; sons, Tim and Christopher and close friend, Evelyn. Leslyn is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., July 2, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to the Assistance League of Bakersfield, 1216 O St., Bakersfield, CA 93301, the Shriners or a Hospice of your choice. Leslyn wanted to be sure to thank all of those who supported her in life and contributed to a pretty good ride. A gathering will be held at the family after the services.
