Bette Adams Hicks Wendling
Services: Wed., Jan. 19, 11:00 A.M.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
for Bette Adams Hicks Wendling, 78, who passed away January 15, 2005, in 
Bakersfield. Rev. Norm Slert and the Caledonia Chapter #391, Order of the 
Eastern Star will officiate. 

Mrs. Wendling was born on June 11, 1926, in Bakersfield. She was an office 
manager and bookkeeper and worked in the retail business for 15 years. Mrs. 
Wendling was a member of the Caledonia Chapter #391, Order of the Eastern 
Star, where she was Past Worthey Matron, and the Daughters of the Nile. She 
was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of Kern 
County Union High School.

She is survived by her son, Michael R. Hicks; brother, Bill Adams; sister, 
Alice Kelley; niece, Karen Skelley; nephew, Craig Kelley, all of Bakersfield; 
nephews, David Adams of Coalinga, Scott Adams of Carlsbad and Mark Adams of 
Bakersfield; great-nieces, Heather Skelley and Kelsey Adams and great-nephews, 
Steven Kelley, Jacob Adams and Brock Adams.

Visitation begins today, 5:00 7:00 P.M.
