Brundage Lane, Bakersfield, California, 93307 for Keith McKindley Edwards, who was called home to rest on January 14, 2005. The Reverend James V. Edwards, Sr. will officiate with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Keith grew up in Bakersfield where he attended school and became a graduate of West High School in June of 1995. Keith was active in the community in sports and church. Keith loved to restore old cars for family and friends. Keith was an active and faithful member of New First Community Missionary Baptist Church where he renewed his commitment of having Christ in his life under the leadership of Reverend James V. Edwards, Sr. Keiths commitment to his faith made him an even stronger believer in giving and caring. Keith was a strong man that loved his family and friends. Keith will always be known to his loving parents and family as The Baby. Keith was preceded in his home going by his grandparents, Reverend John T. Edwards, Tommie and Lelia Mae Madden; and his sister, Terry Edwards. Keith leaves to celebrate his life and his home going, his wife, Alicia LaShea Edwards; his daughters, Shelley, Mariah, and Marcajonae; his parents, Royal and Carolyn Edwards; his grandmother, Mary Edwards; five brothers, Royce, Coy, Shannon, Lonnie, all of Bakersfield, California, and Royal Jr. of Sacramento, California; and one sister, Stacy of Bakersfield, California. Keith also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will rejoice in his life and home going. Keith will always be our light, our joy, our smile, our baby. Keith is special to those who loved him, and will always be in the hearts of those who knew him. Visitation will be held on January 21, 2005, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Ruckers Mortuary with an hour of mediation to be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in New First Community Missionary Baptist Church located at 1400 East Planz Road, Bakersfield, California, 93307.
