Jan. 26, 11:00 am Pauline E. Zimrick of Ventura, passed away peacefully on January 16th at the Ventura Convalescent Hospital. She was born on July 10th, 1914, to Charles and Mary Claire Burke Wachob in Bakersfield, California. Pauline was raised in Bakersfield and attended St. Francis Elementary School, Kern County High School, and Bakersfield Jr. College. She married John W. Zimrick in 1939. They moved to Ventura with their two children in 1947. Pauline worked for San Buenaventura Medical Clinic for 15 years in the medical records office. She was very active at Our Lady of the Assumption Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and spent much time visiting the sick members of the parish. She was also a Past President and fifty year member of the Young Ladies Institute, a Catholic Womens Organization which was created to provide spiritual and social services. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude McCamman of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Steven Zimrick of Sacramento; daughter, Mary Anne and son-in-law, Allan Pinkerton of Ventura; granddaughter, Jennifer Pinkerton of Ventura; and grandson, Josh and his wife, Victoria Pinkerton of Ventura. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Wachob; and cousins, Jim Burke, Sally Rainey, and William Burke of Bakersfield; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mass was celebrated Friday, January 21, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ventura. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, at 11 a.m. at the Burke family plot in the old section of Union Cemetery.
