Horace McDermott
Services: Sat., July 3, 11 a.m.

Visitation will be be held today, 12:00 6:00 p.m. with an hour of meditation 
being held tonight from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. chapel for 
Horace McDermott, 57, who passed away June 25, 2004. Graveside services are 
Saturday, July 3, 11:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Interment will 
follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. 

Horace was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a longtime resident of 
Bakersfield. Horace retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and 
continued to serve his country as a Civil Service Worker at Edwards Air Force 
Base until his demise. 

Horace is survived by his son, Byron Rogers, 2 grandchildren, 4 brothers, 2 
sisters, his loving companion, Vanessa Walker; and a host of cousins, nieces, 
nephews, family and friends.
