"Bennie" Ben Jarrell, Jr.
Services: Wed., Jan. 26, at 1 p.m.

Memorial services will be held at the American Legion Hall Post 682, 130 
Goodman St., for Bennie Ben Jarrell, Jr., 70, who passed away January 20, 
2005. Chaplain Chuck Simonson and the Kern County Veterans will officiate. 

Bennie was born on April 2, 1934, in Pocasset, Oklahoma and resided in Kern 
County for 69 years. He worked and retired from the U.S. Post Office after 22 
years of service.

Mr. Jarrell was preceded in death by a grandson in 1983; brother, Pat; and 
sister, Lottie. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bertha E. Jarrell; son 
and daughter-in-law, Danny R. and Janice Jarrell of Bakersfield; son, Kenneth 
W. Jarrell of Texas; daughter, Kathy E. Jarrell; daughter and son-in-law, 
Deborah K. and Orrie Griswold, all of Bakersfield; 12 grandchildren; 2 great 
grandchildren; brothers, Vernard and Mike; sister, Loretta; and numerous other 
relatives and a host of dear friends.

The family wishes to say a grateful thank you to the Hoffman Hospice service 
for all their help in Bens care.

No visitation is scheduled.
