Eura Q. Rube Reid
Sept. 19, 1923 - Jan. 15, 2005

Eura Q. Reid, 81, was born on September 19, 1923 in Kingsboro, Alabama. He 
passed on January 15, 2005, in Bakersfield, California. 

Preceded in death by his parents James Henry and Jennie Lee Reid. He is the 
4th of 6 children. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. 
Survived by his loving wife of 53 years Bernice Reid; his daughter, Debra 
Kennedy; his daughter and son-in-law, Sue Anne and Billy McClure; his daughter 
and son-in-law, Sherry and Ron Trujillo; his daughter and son-in-law, Paula 
and Tracy Felsinger.

His loving family gave him 7 grandchildren: Amie, James, Andrew, Matthew, 
Jennifer, Leslie, Billy Jr. and 10 great-grandchildren. He and his wife moved 
to Shafter in 1975 and into Bakersfield in 1985.

His love for the outdoors is how he spent his retired years. He left his 
family with many wonderful memories and life stories. Blessed be those who 
knew him and felt the wisdom in his gentle touch. His pure spirit was the true 
gift to us all. Although we know he is with the Lord in a far better place he 
will be missed and loved by all forever! Our Beloved POP.
