Services: Sat., Jan. 29, 11 a.m.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 
Panama Ln., Saturday, January 29, at 11:00 a.m., for Paul Turner Coombs, 76, 
who died at his farm home in the Rosedale Community on Tuesday, January 25, 
2005. Pastor Dennis Hilken will officiate. 

Paul was born on the same farm July 3, 1928. He attended Rosedale School, Kern 
County Union High School and Bakersfield College. He served in the U.S. Army 
in Korea returning to the farm in 1953 where he remained active until the time 
of his passing. He married Norma D. Kile, May 29, 1954. He became active in 
community service with participation in the Rosedale School Board and the 
Rosedale Lions Club. He was a supporter of Bakersfield College Football.

Paul is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Paul Alan; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; 
two grandchildren, Paul Alan Jr., and Andrew Scott; son, Dale Turner of 
Bakersfield; and daughter, Laura Diane Charmley; son-in-law, Curt Charmley of 
Huntington Beach; and three brothers, Maurice R. of Lancaster, Stanley E. of 
Pismo Beach and Donald Cecil of Bakersfield; and their families.

No visitation is scheduled.
