Leo Cometto, Sr.
Nov. 3, 1934 - Jan. 28, 2005

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Tuesday, 
February 1, at 2 p.m. 

Leo Cometto, Sr. was born on November 3, 1934, in Newport, Arkansas, and he 
passed away on January 28, 2005 in Bakersfield with his family by his side. 
Leo met and married the love of his life in 1954. Leo and Rebia recently 
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Leo is survived by his wife, Rebia; 
and their three children, Harry Cometto and his wife, Debi of Lake Elsinore, 
Leo Cometto, Jr. and his wife, Teresa, and Gena Greenlee and her husband, Jim, 
all of Bakersfield. Leo has 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Leo spent most of his adult life as a truck driver for companies such as Pan 
Pacific and Cox Petroleum. He spent the last few years, before retirement in 
1999, as a driver for Airport Bus of Bakersfield. Leo will be deeply missed by 
all those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to 
the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association. For
