A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Los Osos Valley Memorial Park in Los Osos. Virginia was born February 7, 1931 in Conway, Arkansas. She worked as a dispatcher for the City of Bakersfield Police and Fire Departments for 28 years, retiring in 1987. In 1991 she moved to Los Osos where she served on the Board of Directors at Daisy Hill Estates for several years. She enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family and friends. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Bev Hale of Taft; brothers, John Duncan of Bakersfield and Jim Duncan of Merced; sisters, Marjorie Patterson of Los Osos and Bernice Johnson of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Andrew Jenkins of Bakersfield and Kimberly Hale of Taft; and several nieces and nephews.
