IN LOVING MEMORY 

Ralph McAlister died January 25, 2005 in Walnut Creek after a short illness. 
He was the beloved husband of Valerie McAlister, caring brother of Dick 
McAlister, devoted and treasured father of Karen McAlister of Harpers Ferry, 
WV, Mike Peyerl of Fallon, NV, Dan McAlister of Lilburn, GA, David McAlister 
of Ocean Pines, MD, Joe Bielefeld of Cupertino, CA, Ruth Morgan-Ososkie of San 
Jose, CA, Anne McAlister of Glouschester, VA, Kay Tesseo of Concord, CA and 
Virginia Feliciano of Smithfield, VA. He was the cherished grandfather of 17 
grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Ralph touched many lives with his 
zest for the joy of living, telling jokes, and his love for his family.

He was born in Bakersfield, California and graduated from Kern County Union 
High School (Bakersfield High School) in 1947. He spent 2 years in the 
National Guard. He retired as a Senior Vice President from Transamerica Real 
Estate Tax Service in 1994 after 43 years. Ralph enjoyed playing games, and 
traveling with his Airstream friends.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service Saturday, February 19, at 
11:00 a.m., at the Walnut Avenue United Methodist Church, 260 Walnut Avenue, 
Walnut Creek, CA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Hospice of Contra 
Costa, 2051 Harrison St., Concord, CA 94520.
