Services: Wed., Feb. 2, 1:30 p.m.

Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama 
Lane, Wednesday, February 2, at 1:30 p.m., for Marie Geneva Ellis, 84, who 
passed away January 29, 2005 in a local hospital. 

Marie was born May 30, 1920, in Purcell, Oklahoma to Caris and Lena Hollis. 
She was a drugstore clerk for ten years. Marie was a loving grandmother and 
mother. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Ellis; son and daughter-in-law, 
Thomas and Johnnie Ruth Ellis; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Bob Seal 
and Terry and Donald Hanson, all of Bakersfield; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-
grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Ellis and Ruby 
Burger; brother, Virgil Hollis, all of Bakersfield; and many other loving 
relatives and friends. Visitation is private.
