Shirley Ann White
March 22, 1932 – Jan. 22, 2005

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Tehachapi Public 
Cemetery, Eastside for Shirley Ann White, 72, who passed away at Presbyterian 
Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier on Jan. 22.

Shirley was born on March 22, 1932 in Marion, Ill. to parents Earl and Myrtle 
Pulley.

She married Samuel William Warren White on Jan. 29, 1955. They moved to Kern 
County in 1983 where she worked alongside her husband in the construction 
business. For approximately 10 years they owned and operated Oakwood 
Development in Tehachapi.

Shirley enjoyed being a homemaker, loved gardening and was a devoted wife, 
mother and grandmother. 

Prior to her husband’s death, they thoroughly enjoyed camping in a travel 
trailer with family and friends.

Shirley is survived by sons Gary White and Warren White, both of Sacramento; 
daughter Debra Decker and her husband Ken of Anaheim; grandchildren Jennifer, 
Denise, Ken, Lisa, Keith and Bryon; great-grandchildren Evin and Westin; and 
brother Earl Pulley of Illinois. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel White on May 15, 1990.

Dr. Marvin Slifer of Mountain Bible Church officiated at the service. Wood 
Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
