A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2005, starting at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow starting at 7:00 p.m. In Loving Memory of our Husband, Dad, and Pa, John Luera. John was born in Bakersfield, CA, January 25, 1954 and passed away on February 1, 2005. His favorite quotes were Thats Dead! and What? Johns favorite pastime was having family and friends over for Bar-B-Ques where he liked to joke around and make everyone laugh. John was employed with Riverwood for several years until the plant closed down. He then became an employee of Dopaco where he made many, many friends. John was a devoted husband to Amada Luera for 31 years and they were inseparable. John also devoted his life to his children, Lydia, John Jr., and Sergio Luera. Most of all to his granddaughter, Olivia Gorda Luera who will miss her Pa dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Delfina Rivera and his mother-in-law, Eusebia Aleman. John leaves behind his parents, Joe and Eloisa Luera; brother and sister-in-law, Joe Jr. and Sally Luera; brother, David Luera; sisters, Gloria Rodriguez, and Rachel Cazares; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews from both sides of his family. John will be greatly missed and remembered for all the love and attention that he gave his family and friends. Casketbearers will be John Luera Jr., David Luera, Arturo Aleman, Agustin Carmona Jr., Luis Saenz and John Dutel. Honorary Casketbearers will be Sergio Luera and Deion Chester.
