Jorene "Jody" Wooten
July 11, 1928 - February 3, 2005

Visitation for Jorene Jody Wooten will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 
Niles St.) on Monday evening, February 7, 2005, from 5 8 p.m. and a graveside 
service will be held at Union Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, February 8, 2005, 
at 2 p.m. Brother Joe Smith of the Highland Church of Christ will officiate. 

Jody was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Wooten, and she is survived 
by her daughters, Linda Young and Jean Matteson; sons, Mark Wooten and James 
Wooten; 9 grandchildren, Gene, April, Peggy, Billy, Mary Ann, Johnny, Steven, 
Mallorie, and Crystal; 16 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, 
George and Bonnie Cross and James and Buddie Cross; sister, Emma Graham; and 
numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Jody enjoyed watching basketball and was an avid Laker Fan. She also enjoyed 
listening to country music and reading her Country magazine. She loved to 
collect Dolls and had a beautiful collection. But, more than anything, she 
loved spending time with her children and grandchildrenthey were the light of 
her life. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
