Ramsey 11/15/1937 - 2/5/2005 Graveside services will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Coalinga, CA on Thursday, February 10, 2005, 1:00 p.m. for Martin A. Ramsey, 67, who passed away February 5, 2005. Martin was born in Coalinga on November 15, 1937 and attended the local schools. Martin worked in the oil business for 36 years. He spent most of that time internationally traveling around much of the world. His last assignment was in Kuwait putting out oil well fires for Boots n Coots during Gulf War #1. He retired in 1994, resided in Bakersfield, CA for many years and returned to his hometown of Coalinga in 2001. Martin is survived by his brother, Sam Ramsey of Livingston, TN; four sisters, Betty Kern and Marie Terra of Coalinga, Bonnie Howe and husband, Frank of Morro Bay, and Helen McLain and husband, Max of San Luis Obispo and stepdaughter, Mandee Meek and a step-granddaughter, Kieran Phipps of Bakersfield, CA.
