The Elder James Smith will officiate with interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Ms. Austyne was a native of Los Angeles, CA and had resided in Bakersfield for the past 60 years. She worked for the United States Postal Service for many years retiring in 1985. During her early years she loved to ride motorcycles and was President of the Cycle Queens of America. Her other affiliations included being a Worthy Matron in the San Francisco Council, Chapter No. 4, Queen ADAH Royal Grand Chapter O.E.S., Daughter of the Ancient Arabic Order of Daughters of Spinx of North and South America, under the Jurisdiction of the Supreme Grand Court, Delta Court No. 14 in San Francisco, CA. Bobbie, as she was affectionately known was a very caring person and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Her parents preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted companion and sister, Ruthie Jean Stancil; beloved grandson, Hugh Germaine Holmes; special niece and nephew, Stephanie Yzaguirre and Hugh Stancil, and a host of friends.
