Charles G. "Chuck" Shaterian Sr.
May 2, 1919 - February 6, 2005

A memorial services for Charles Garabed Shaterian Sr. will be held in the 
Basham Funeral Care Chapel (3312 Niles St.) on Saturday afternoon, February 
12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ken Claiborne will officiate.

Charles Garabed Shaterian Sr. was born May 2, 1919 in Fresno, California, and 
went home to be with our Lord on February 6, 2005 in Bakersfield, California 
with his family by his side.

Chuck is survived by his sons, Crosby Shaterian and Charles Shaterian Jr.; 
stepchildren, Kerry Savee and Jana Keen; grandchildren, Crosby and Christy 
Shaterian; loving sister, Clara Kelly; best friend, Joe Campbell and numerous 
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Chuck was a life-time member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Eagles. 
He was a truck driver for 50 years and retired from Getty Oil, Corp. He was a 
mechanic at heart and loved building and repairing engines. Chuck was a loving 
and caring father and grandfather. He also loved animals of all kinds. Chuck 
was a strong and generous man. He lived life his own way and even in death, he 
said Let me go my own way. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be 
deeply missed. Dad we hope you finally found peace and happiness. For
