Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
February 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. for Ellen Louise Hampton of Bakersfield, 
California. 

Ellen Louise Hampton entered into eternal and everlasting life February 8, 
2005. She was born to Jewel and Joe Walker in Arkansas, the oldest of five. 
She was 82 years old.

Louise married the love of her life, Arvil Hampton, September 28, 1940. They 
were married for 64 years. Primarily a homemaker, she devoted her time and 
energy to her family. Later in life she went back to college to fulfill her 
dream of teaching. She taught at Williams Elementary for many years before 
retirement. Louise was ornry and full of life. She often joked about her 
height and loved to tell stories about her childhood, especially about her 
brothers.

Louise is survived by her beloved husband, Arvil Hampton and their three 
children, Lawayna and husband, Donald Tidmore; Stephen and wife, Heather 
Hampton; Joel and wife, Colleen Hampton; eight grandchildren, Terri Tidmore, 
Tracey Greene, David Hampton, Misako Hampton, Sean Hampton, Justin Hampton, 
Aaron Hampton, Allison Hampton. Her legacy also includes two great-
grandchildren, Samantha Greene and Sydney Greene; and her care provider and 
treasured companion, Lillian. She leaves a lasting imprint on many other 
special family and friends.

Louise will always be remembered as a loving, generous wife, mother, sister, 
fun grandma and great-grandma. Her loss will be greatly felt.

Visitation will begin today at 6:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary.
