Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Elisa was born to Fred and Desidora Jimenez on September 25, 1918, in Beeville, Texas. She was married to Manuel Mata in 1946 and was a homemaker for 65 years. She enjoyed dancing, playing bingo and attending Native American tribal ceremonies. Elisa is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manuel Mata; daughters, Guadalupe Salinas and Olivia Rosas. She is survived by her son, Ignacio Valdez and wife, Maria; daughters, Henrietta Young and husband, Roger, Manuela Rojas and husband, Carlos; 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
