In 1949, he married Evelyn Troost and shortly after, he and his new bride immigrated to the United States. They settled in the Los Angeles area, where they lived for 2 years. During this time, J.W. worked as a dairyman while Evelyn took care of their family which grew to include twelve children, two of whom died as infants. In 1971, the family moved to the Arvin area and J.W. began to dairy farm which he operated for over 50 years, until shortly before his passing. He was well respected and admired in the community for his strong work ethic and steadfast principles. J.W.s life can be well described by the word devotion. He was devoted to his family, his diary, and above all, his Lord. His faith was evident to all those who knew him, and a model to those who survive him. His devotion to church, scripture, and Christian education attest to his deep love for the Lord. J.W. is preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Beatrice; his brothers, Nick, Jack, Jacob, John, and Dirk Reyneveld; and two infant children. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Reyneveld; his brother, Case Reyneveld of Ripon, CA; and his sister, Rita Van Baren; his ten children and their spouses, Dan and Ellen Vander Mey, Joshua and Martha Reyneveld, Richard and Vicki Reyneveld, Clarence and Lisa Reyneveld, Glenn Reyneveld, Beatrice Reyneveld, Buck and Hilda Klein, Janette Slegers, Willy and Kristi Reyneveld, and Kennedy Reyneveld; and his 16 grandchildren. We are comforted by the knowledge that his is home with his Lord and Savior. We are thankful for the many years we had with him and the inspiration he was to us. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Bible Study Ministries care of Cpl. Clarence Reyneveld, 7302 Melody Lane, Jenison, Michigan, 49428.
