Rev. William Ekhardt will officiate. Evelyn Gloeckner was born on December 1, 1914, in Dinuba, California. Evelyns family moved to Pasadena, CA where she graduated from Monrovia High School. Evelyn attended Pasadena Junior College, then moved on to the University of California Berkeley where she graduated with a BS in Zoology. Evelyn met her future husband, Al Gloeckner in 1943 at LA County General Hospital where they were both employed. Evelyn and Al were married on May 6, 1945, in Monrovia, CA. Evelyn and Al moved to Bakersfield in 1950 where they began a family. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Al, in 2001; her sisters, Betty Ullom in 1974 and Helen Morrin in 2004. Survivors include her son and daughter- in-law, Stephen and Suzanne Gloeckner of Antioch, CA; son, Bruce Gloeckner of Bakersfield; daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Tim Brown of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Sean, David, Jon, Jeff, Brian and Brad Gloeckner; Tamrin and husband, Jason White and Jacquelyn and T.J. Brown; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Brianna Gloeckner; sisters, Connie Brackenbury of Vista, CA and Fern Frazier of Altus, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. No visitation is scheduled.
