Father Bob Wenzinger will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery, 2739 Panama Ln. Angie Escudero was born on February 9, 1952, in Bakersfield. She was the daughter of Guillermo Baquez Escudero and Rosa Lima Zerrano. She was raised in Bakersfield and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School. Throughout her life, she was involved in the church as a Catechism teacher, and participated in various local church organizations such as Rosary Rally, Eucharistic Ministry, Legion of Mary, Franciscan Ministry, and Our Lady of Fatima. She was also active in civic organizations such as CSO and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a chef for local Mexican restaurants and retired as a nurses aide at KMC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Linda Gregory; and her parents, Guillermo Baquez Escudero and Rosa Lima Zerrano. She was previously married for 25 years to Joe G. Ornelas. She is survived by her children, JoAnn Wallace and husband, Ron of San Pedro; Joseph Ornelas and wife, Felicia of Bakersfield; Richard Ornelas and wife, Laura of Bakersfield; Karen Greer and husband, Jeff of Fresno. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Raymond Glavan of Long Beach, Minette Brabee of San Pedro; Leandra Kemmer of Fremont; Joseph Ornelas Jr. of San Francisco; Christopher Ornelas of San Francisco; Shelly Greer of Bakersfield; Angel Ornelas of Bakersfield; Kaylie Ornelas of Bakersfield; Annette Owens of Clovis; Renee Boyle of La Quinta; Marie Greer of Grand Junction, CO; Patrick Greer of Clovis; Paul Greer of Clovis and 13 great- grandchildren; and many other loving nieces, nephews and family members.
