He was born in San Fernando, CA on September 9, 1926. Curtis was a longtime resident of Bakersfield. He worked for Safeway Markets, Mayes Market and finally retiring from Mayfair Markets in 1984. He spent his retirement years making sawdust in his wood shop. Curtis was a World War II Army Veteran, serving with the U.S. Army 7th Division in Korea and the Pacific. For the past five years he was a participant in the Relay for Life. Curtis is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorothy; sons, Michael Moulton of San Diego, Stanley and Jeff Moulton both of Quincy, CA and Ralph Heinlein and wife, Suzi of Bakersfield; daughters, Marilyn Hooton of Maryland and Janice Smith and husband, Gene of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Choate and husband, Bill of Arizona and brothers, Clifford and wife, Barbara of Lancaster, CA, and Dean and wife, Grace of Atlanta, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
