Services: Thurs., Feb. 17, 1 p.m. 

Visitation for Ellen Gay Ward will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles 
St.) on Wednesday evening, February 16, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral 
services will be held at Victory Chapel (800 Airport Drive) on Thursday 
afternoon, February 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn 
Southwest Cemetery.

Ellen was born in Ventura on February 2, 1954 and she passed away in 
Bakersfield on Sunday, February 13, 2005. She is survived by her son, Marty 
Thompson; daughter and son-in-law, Kresa and Kelley Hoffman; son and daughter-
in-law, Johnny and Vickie Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Lee 
Parriott; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Robert Long; sister and brother-
in-law, Karen and Roy Cooley; sister, Nancy Ward; 4 grandchildren, Brent, 
Brad, Emily, and Little Johnny; special friend, Glenn Scrivner and numerous 
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ellen was an active member of Victory Chapel and she loved Jesus with all her 
heart. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed. For
