Lee Roy was born in Corn, Oklahoma to John and Katie Janzen. He came to Shafter in 1942, and began farming. He married Mamie Kroeker on February 21, 1947, and together they purchased farmland in the Shafter area. Lee Roy and Mamie enjoyed their life together, sharing themselves with both family and friends. Lee Roys favorite pastime was farming and reading Westerns. Lee Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie and son, Philip. He is survived by three of his sons, Joe of Fresno, Jim and Rodney; daughter, Judy Janzen, all of Shafter; 1 grandchild, Jessica Neeld and her children, Stasha and Zachary Neeld.
