Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 19, 2005, at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. for Ventura Valadez, 92, who passed away on February 14, 2005. Father James Catalano will officiate and burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Ventura Valadez was born on July 14, 1912 in Mexico. Ventura was a very hard worker who would always put her family first. She was an activist for Hispanics and the underprivileged. She loved to dance and enjoyed going to wrestling matches. Ventura is preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Antonia Faz; her husband, Salomon G. Valadez; children, Lala, Jose and Ray Lopez. She is survived by her daughters, Irma C.
