California Ave., today, February 23, at 1:30 p.m., for Isabel Tinuco Salazar, 78, who passed away February 18, 2005 in Bakersfield. Father Chummar Chirayath will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Ln. Isabel was born November 5, 1926 in Potchuca, Texas, to Aristeo and Diamantina Tinuco and resided in Kern County for 59 years. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a stay-at-home mom, making sure that they were well fed and took care of. Isabel loved to cook for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jesus P. Salazar; children and their spouses, Mary Mendez, Sylvia & Leo Leal, Jesse and Sandra Salazar, Richard and Diane Salazar, and Linda & Benito Aventez; 23 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and three sisters and five brothers.
