Cheryl Lee Hurning
Feb. 19, 1964 - Feb. 22, 2005

Family and friends will gather at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
on Friday, Feb. 25, at 2:30 p.m. to remember Cheryl Lee Hurning. 

Cheryl was born on February 19, 1964, in Cleveland, OH, and left our arms to 
be with Gods Angels on February 22, 2005.

Cheryl graduated from Highland High School in 1982 and pursued different 
career opportunities. After graduating from Lyles College of Beauty and 
becoming a hairdresser, she changed vocations to become a Correctional Officer 
with the Kern County Sheriffs Department. 

The love of her life was her 10 year old son, Tarrance Hurning. They spent 
countless afternoons together rollerblading, fishing and camping. Cheryl was a 
caring and giving person who had a real sense of humor. She could be in one of 
her moods and bring a whole room to laughter. She had a love for animals and 
enjoyed sports. Cheryl was quite the fisherman out-reeling everyone else and 
always catching the biggest one.

Cheryl is loved and survived by her son, Tarrance Hurning; parents Paul 
Hurning and LaVonne Hurning; sister and brother-in-law Kimberly and Jason 
Williamson; niece Kenzi Williamson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and 
friends will also miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sweet 
sister, Traci Hurning in March of 2001.

Cheryl, we all love you so very much. Remembrances can be made in Cheryls name 
to your favorite charity. No visitation is scheduled.
