Cruz Gomez
May 3, 1919 - February 19, 2005

Cruz Gomez was born in Lammar, Colorado, on May 3, 1919, and passed away 
peacefully on February 19, 2005, in Bakersfield, California. 

Cruz was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed many things in her lifetime; 
gardening, traveling, and a good party with all her family and friends. Mom 
was very funny and a big flirt. She also enjoyed eating out, playing the slot 
machines, music, and sewing. Cruz Gomez was very loved; her death will leave a 
great void in all of our hearts. 

Cruz is joining her parents; brothers; sister; husband, Jesus Gomez; daughter, 
Lilly Gomez; grandson, Joaquin Comb; and grandsons, Robert Joseph Gomez and 
Tony Gomez, in Heaven. She is survived by her brother, Manuel Nevarez; her 
daughters, Rosa Comb and husband, Frank Comb, Anita Decker and husband, David 
Decker, and Margaret Gomez; her sons, Manuel Gomez and Theresa Gomez, Robert 
Gomez and wife, Camilla Gomez. Cruz is also survived by many grandchildren, 
great grandchildren, and loved ones. 

From the family of Cruz Gomez, we would like to deeply thank all the staff at 
Parkview Julian Convalescent Hospital for all the care and love you showed 
her. 

Funeral services will be held February 26, 2005, at 9 a.m. at the Church Del 
Rey. A visitation is scheduled to be held February 25, 2005, 5 8:30 p.m. at 
the San Fernando Mission Mortuary, with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
