Grace L. Dillard
May 2, 1929 - February 19, 2005

Grace L. Dillard, 75, beloved wife of the late Lonnie Dillard, passed away 
peacefully. Family, friends and members of the Church of God, Evening Light 
Saints, will dearly miss Mrs. Dillard. 

Beloved mother of David Hassan Dawan, Lonnie Sheila Dillard, Darrell Dillard, 
Victor Dillard, John Dillard, Carla Dillard Smith and mother-in-law of Helene 
Dillard and Dan Smith. Loving grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 20; 
four brothers and six sisters survive Mrs. Dillard.

Mrs. Dillard owned Dillards Care Home and provided board and care services to 
mentally disabled adults for 25 years in Oakland, retired since 2000. Mrs. 
Dillard recently resided in Sacramento and then Stockton at the time of her 
death.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday, February 23 from 1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. 
at Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Service, 640 N. California Street, Stockton, 
CA. Call (209) 948-9750 for information.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, February 24, 
at Downs Memorial United Methodist Church, 6026 Idaho Street, Oakland, CA, 
from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. Call (510) 352-2827 for information.

Viewing will be held Friday, February 25, from 12-8 p.m. at Jesse E. Cooley, 
Jr. Chapel, 1111 California Avenue, Bakersfield. Funeral services will be held 
in Bakersfield, CA, at the Church of God, Evening Light Saints, 100 Oswell 
Street on Saturday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. Contact Jesse E. Cooley, Jr.

immediately following at Union Cemetery.
