Crowson was born May 5, 1920 in Seymour, Texas. In 1955 she and her family moved from Oklahoma to Kern County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack Crowson, in 1991; her parents, Walter Glasscock and Hattie Glen; sister Theresia Hobbs and brother Keith Glasscock. She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Jack and Mary Crowson of Bryan, TX, Glenn and Lanna Crowson of Bakersfield; and daughter Betty Fowler, also of Bakersfield; her sister LaVada Songer of Kansas; brothers Archie (Betty) and Charlie Glasscock of Oregon; two grandchildren and their spouses, Justin, Mason and Brianna Crowson, Blake Williams and Kristen Kessler; adopted grandsons Fred, Kacy, John Williamson, best friend Carlene Lampkin, and many nieces, nephews and other family members. She was a past worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #65. She loved to crochet, read novels and her bible, and work crosswords. She was a member of the Edison 1st Baptist Church. Special thanks go to Dr. Doreen Schneider for her years of care. We would also like to express our appreciation to care-givers Kathleen, Claudia, Ann, Janice and Josie. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Hoffman Hospice, 5300 California Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93309, or a charity of your choice. Geneva was loved and will be missed by many. A chapel service will be Monday, February 28, 2005 at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. No visitation is scheduled.
