Leonard David Press
April 26, 1926 - February 26,2005 

Most beloved husband and father, Leonard Press passed away at the Bakersfield 
home he shared with his wife of 56 years. 

Born in Taft, California to Ernest David Press and Helen Gertrude (Conroy) 
Press, Leonard attended Taft Union High School before enlisting in the Army 
Air Corps in 1944. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he attended 
Taft Junior College and Bakersfield College, and married the love of his life, 
Erma Beverly Friesen in 1948. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad in 
1987.

A man of great love, patience, and integrity, he is survived by his wife 
Beverly and sons David Press, his wife Claudia; Mark Press, his wife Beckey 
and grandson Phillip. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
