Richard was born on November 29, 1951 in Kalispell, Montana and was greeted by Jesus as he stepped through the door from this earthly life into Heaven on Saturday, February 26, 2005. Richard was dancing and leaping and leaping and dancing as he met his Saviour and Lord. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Sherri Stracner Hines; mother and father, Harriet and Howard Brewer; mother-in-law, Jonnie Mae Hallum Stracner; and maternal grandparents, Harry and Mabel Koch; brothers, Donald, Matthew, and Douglas Hines; sisters, Marilyn Thomas and Janet Matthews; children, Troy Hines, Easton Ellington Hines, Elisha Mayo and husband, Andrew Mayo, Jonnie Anglin, Lacey Hines, and his adopted son, Tracee Patterson; son-in-law, Billy Lindner, grandchildren, Ryan Mayo, Chase Mayo, Joseph Lindner, Harmoni Lindner and Kaitlynn Fields; brothers-in-law, Robert Matthews and Larry Stracner; uncles and aunts, Lawrence and Virginia Scarbrough, Gene and Carolyn Thome, Barry and Betty Hallum, Larry and Brenda Hallum, Don Koch and Kay Sylvester; 12 nieces and nephews; cousins, Lorin, Tandy, and Claudia Koch; special brothers in Christ, always steadfast and loyal, Ted Huckaby, Rick Sides, and Lawrence Scarbrough; Pastors, Carl Baker, Darren Pritchard, Frank Michael and Mike Evans; Hoffmann Hospice who live out their Christian faith; Urners co- workers who made his job more fun and rewarding than work, David Urner, David Sempel, Ralph Ayers, Steve Steiber, Steve Illingsworth, Allyn Wejmar, Jimmy Stone, and Bo Radford; Richards Urner girls, Joyce, Sandy, Callie, Susan, Naomi, and Carly. Richard is pre-deceased by his father-in-law, Lee Clark Stracner, Sr.; brother-in-law, Clarkie Stracner; and uncle, Don Koch. Visitation will be March 2-3, 4-8 p.m., Arvin Funeral Home with service being held Friday, March 4th, 1:00 p.m., at Ridgeview Church of the Nazarene, 8420 Stine Rd., Bakersfield.
