Zelma Armenta Sledge Bowen
Services: Thurs., Mar. 3, 9:30 a.m.

Memorial services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., 
for Zelma Armenta Sledge Bowen, who passed away in North Carolina on March 19, 
2001. 

Mrs. Bowen was born on April 25, 1904, in Bakersfield, CA on the Monte Cristo 
Lease in the Kern River Oilfields. She was the daughter of the late Henry and 
Katie McNeil Sledge.

She was a graduate of Bakersfield College and retired Account Clerk II with 
the Kern County Treasurers Office.

Survivors include her son, Neil Bowen; his wife, Dianne and granddaughter, 
Kathryn, all of Pantego, NC; one niece, Judy Marshall of San Luis Obispo, CA 
and her husband, Roger and their four children.
