He grew up in Maricopa/Taft, California, and served his country with the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. He returned from Europe to San Pedro, CA where he founded and operated ELCO Corporation and raised his family. He retired to Bakersfield, CA where he lived with his wife, Patricia. In 2004 he moved to Canon City to live with his daughter, Nanette and son-in-law. He enjoyed singing, dancing and boating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Whitsitt) Elissague, on August 19, 2003. He is survived by daughter, Michelle Miley of San Pedro, CA; daughter, Nanette Mock of Canon City, CO; son, Robert C. Elissague, Jr.; daughter, Linda Hanawalt, and son, Terry Williams, all of Bakersfield, CA; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He will always be remembered for his ever present smile and his ability to quickly make strangers into lifelong friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial service will be held on March 18, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Chapel in Green Hills Memorial Park in San Pedro, CA. Interment will take place with Patricia in Green Hills Cemetery in San Pedro, CA.
