Richard (Rick) Durbin Spencer
Jan. 12, 1956 – Feb. 18, 2005

Richard (Rick) D. Spencer, born Jan. 12, 1956, died suddenly on Feb. 18. He 
was a resident of Lake Havasu, Ariz. since 2003.

Prior to moving to Arizona, he was a long-time resident of Simi Valley. Rick 
was the owner of Rush Coat Finishing in Chatsworth for 25 years. He was a 
graduate of Grant High School in Van Nuys, class of 1974.

Rick lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed many things, but most of all his 
love of family, friends and music. His drums, golf and fishing gave him peace.

He was the life of the party everywhere he went and was everyone’s friend. He 
will be forever loved and missed everyday.

Rick is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of more than 30 years, 
Cathy; sons, Jason (J.T.), 27, and Justin, 22; granddaughters, Alexis Syanne, 
6, Brielle Caylin, 3; and grandson, Trent Dubin, two weeks old. He also leaves 
behind his parents, Robert (Bob) and Shirley Spencer of Tehachapi; and 
brothers, Robert (Bob) Jr. of Portland, Ore. and Kelly of Acton.

A memorial service was held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1 
p.m.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
