Bob was born July 22, 1926, in Ottumwa, Iowa, and resided in Kern County for three years. He was the owner of an appliance parts wholesale business for 25 years. Bob was a Seaman in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was famous for the Hawaiian steaks he learned to make in Hawaii during WWII. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara of Bakersfield; children and their spouses, Douglas of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Donna and Jon of Clovis, David and Monika of Mobile, AL, Daniel and Nancy of Tucson, AZ, Richard of Gig Harbor, WA, Jamie and Carl of Reno, NV, Wade of Bakersfield and Patrick and Charla of Bakersfield; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Reed of Mesa, AZ and Caroline Cortum and husband, Arthur of Valley Center, CA.
