Graveside services will be held this morning, Thursday, July 15, at 9:30 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Gladys Snider, 90, who passed away July 12, 2004. Chaplain Gary Bashor will officiate. Mrs. Snider was born on July 23, 1913, in Texas and resided in Kern County for 60 years. She worked as in Insurance Agent for Barber Pontiac. Mrs. Snider was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Security Chapter #426. She was past president of the International Porcelain Artist and Teachers Association and held a world wide membership. She taught china painting at Kern City where she also loved to play golf. Mrs. Snider was preceded death by her husband, John L. Snider. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joy Lynn and Bob Brown; grandsons, Bryan Brown and wife Kelley and Brent Brown and wife Shelley; great grandson Blake Brown and great granddaughters, Heather Brown and Adrian Brown.
