Pannell for 69 years, and the much loved mother of Jerry Wayne Pannell, predeceased, and of Richard Lynn Pannell and daughter-in-law, Cher Ami. She was blessed with and thoroughly enjoyed six grandchildren and their spouses, Arrel Pannell, Kay and Shaun Headley, Jason and Kasey Pannell, and Nicole Pannell of Bakersfield; Mindy Pannell of Chicago, and Jennifer and Daryl Grasinger of Central Asia. She leaves behind seven great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Kaylie Marshall, Shelbie and Malorie Serdinsky, Crissie Pannell and Katrina and Joshua Grasinger. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Vivian Reed of Reno, Nevada. Pallbearers will be Arrel and Jason Pannell, Phillip Poteete, Steven Flake, Bill Patterson and Jeff Himenes. Ruths life centered around her family, friends and church, Bakersfield First Assembly of God. She was known for her wonderful cooking, hospitality, love of people, and love for her God. She loved to mentor young women and even at the age of 89 years, she enjoyed friendships with people of all ages. She had a lifelong interest and love of missions and devoted much time to Womens Ministries and in correspondence with missionaries. When we think of her, we remember coffee in pretty China cups, fresh flowers on the table, a homemade dessert every day, a warm welcome to all who walked through her door, and her frequent laughter. We will always love you. In lieu of flowers, Nana-Mom-Ruth would be so pleased to have contributions made to the Bakersfield First Assembly of God World Missions Fund, 4901 California Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93309. And now abideth Faith, Hope, Love; but the greatest of these is Love. I Cor. 13 Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
