"Chuck" Johnson Jr. Services: Thurs., July 22, 2:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Ln., Thursday, July 22, 2004, at 2:30 p.m., for Charles Alexander "Chuck" Johnson, Jr., 73, who passed away July 19, 2004 in a local hospital. Mr. Randy Hilburn and the Veterans Association of Kern County will officiate. Chuck was born February 22, 1931 in Bakersfield and resided here all of his life. He served aboard the U.S.S. Frank E. Evans DD754 during the Korean Conflict. Chuck was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a mechanic for the Rosedale School District for 22 years. Chuck liked to go canoeing at Hart Park and Ming Lake, and hiking with his dog Bear. Chuck was a nature lover and never met a stranger. Dad was a multi talented artist, he exceeded in painting, pottery figurines and loved American Indian Art. He also had a generous heart and loved people. Chuck is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Johnson III and Marian, and Tomothy and Vickie Johnson; daughter, Susan Webb; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Carly Johnson, Justin Johnson, Synthia Hall and husband, Joe and their daughter, Shyann Hall all of Bakersfield, David Webb of Wyoming; Michelle Allen and husband, Daniel and Kevin Webb all of Bakerrsfield; stepmother, Pat Johnson of Malibu; and siblings, Bob, Jim and Julie all of Malibu.
