July 22, 11 a.m. Graveside services for Bessie Ellen Arnold, 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, at the West Side District Cemetery in Taft, CA. Rev. Sam White will conduct the service. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so Wednesday, July 21, 3:00 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, July 22, 8:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m., at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home, 501 Lucard Street, Taft, CA, 661- 765-4111. Bessie was born in Eldon, Miller County, Missouri, December 27, 1912 and went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2004. Her husband, Ralph Arnold and daughter, Anna Louise Monreal, preceded Bessie in death. Bessie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Erma and Howell Parrent, Taft, CA and Marjorie and Dee Stewart, Taft, CA; Grandchildren: John Allen, Boulder City, NV; Dianna McConnachie, San Pedro, CA; Greg Allen, San Pedro, CA; Phil Monreal, San Pedro, CA; Michael Parrent, Bakersfield, CA; Keith and Kim Stewart, Las Vegas, NV; David and Tara Stewart, The Woodlands, TX and Melanie Parrent, Clovis, CA; Great-Grandchildren: Raymond Allen, Corona, CA; Cory McConnachie, Long Beach, CA; John Michael Allen, Boulder City, NV; Malia Bowen, Las Vegas, NV; Kayla and Heather Stewart, Las Vegas, NV, and numerous family and friends from California and Missouri. Love and licks from Kai Baby. We miss you and love you Grannymo. You are in our hearts and prayers forever. Bessie loved her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bessie worked at Taylors Bakery in Taft, CA. for many years and had many loyal customers. Bessie was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed. The family extends their gratitude to the health care professionals and friends at Mercy Westside Skilled Nursing Home in Taft, CA., Bessies home for the last five years. A special thanks to Dr. Tang for being so caring and thoughtful. Thanks to Bessies new caregivers, Glenwood Gardens, Bakersfield, CA and all of the special people that work there, especially Cassondra Bradford.
