Beulah Elizabeth Carman was born to Mack and Mattie Allred on March 12, 1920 in Springdale, Arkansas; and she went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2004 in Bakersfield, CA. Beulah is preceded in death by her wonderful husband, Elvin Carman; and she is survived by 3 wonderful children: daughter and son-in- law, Dorothy and Gerald Collier of Arlington, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, William and Beverley McGuffey of Ventura, California; son and daughter-in-law, John and Archie McGuffey of Bakersfield; stepson, James Carman of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Edith Wells and Francis Traudt both of Hanford, California; 1 brother, Glenn C. Allred of Bakersfield; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces and nephews, and many church brothers and sisters, friends and pastors. She attended beauty college and was the owner/operator of her own beauty salon for many years. She was a member of the Arvin Auxiliary and the Eastern Star since 1953. Beulah loved to dance. She and her late-husband won many trophies for their dancing. She also loved fishing. Beulah cherished her family, she would say there was none better, but more than anything, Beulah loved the Lord. Worshipping the Lord was her most favorite thing. In her own words God helped me through many hard times, and I thank the Holy Spirit. Beulah was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed. For additional service information or floral delivery, please contact Basham Funeral Care 873- 8200.
